Established in 1799, Historic Travellers Rest offers its gorgeous grounds and rich history to host events nestled among the mature magnolia trees, a beautiful formal garden, manicured grassy meadows, and modern-day crib barn. Immediately upon entering the grounds, you will find yourself sheltered by a canopy of trees, as this venue is nestled away from the hustle and bustle yet easily accessible from the surrounding main thoroughfares. Parking is a breeze, and as the pea gravel crunches beneath your feet and you breathe deep the fresh air, a sense of relaxation with overtake you as you realize the beauty and convenience Historic Travellers Rest has to offer.
Host your ceremony along the white picket fence, in front of the historic home itself, or in your favorite clearing, but know that the climate-controlled barn is always on standby should undesirable weather encroach. Inside the barn, you can exchange your vows in front of the limestone fireplace and dance the night away beneath the high ceilings decorated with wooden beams. There will be no hurry, as your wedding package includes 11 hours of rental time, one hour for photography prior to the big day, two holding suites, and tables and chairs for up to 150 guests. Historic Travellers Rest offers elopement and microwedding packages in addition to full venue rental to include the grounds, garden, and barn.
